Like it'd be cool to listen to tracks you own without ads on platforms like Spotify. But sometimes I wish there was a Movies Anywhere like service for Music where I can buy a CD/Vinyl and redeem it on multiple platforms like Tidal, Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and I guess YTM too. I also buy CDs on Amazon that support Autorip so you can stream it off their app for free regardless of AmazonMusic Unlimited. But I buy it to support the artist directly and admire the artwork, have a pretty high quality version of their music, and I rip the CD and can listen to it anywhere.Currently using Plex but if Plex bit the dust, my tracks are still mine, I can shove them into an SD Card and live on. I know it sounds ancient, and I know CDs are not exactly going to stand "the test of time". This is the kind of stuff I was telling people would happen years ago. When you buy music on a platform or buy into a service, what do you do when that service goes away?
